good bearing in mind that we only asked for £1 for entry. The other great thing about the night, was the fact that the music was totally random. I would grab 120 singles out of the pile each week and put them into my bag alongside money shakers, stickers and about 2000 flyers and then the DJ's would just sift through them giving them out afterwards. There were probably about 20 big hits in a night and the rest would be pretty random. Some nights we would get some really dancefloor funk nuggets, whilst at other times it could go all cowboy and western. Still, people seemed to have a good time and after all, it's all for charidee.

It was interesting to see DJs from different backgrounds all united in a similar way, the pretence of the indie scene totally stripped out, it was surprising how much fun could be had.

At the end of February we had about three weeks left and had raised about £900 so far, which was bloody good bearing in mind it was a Monday night in freezing weather. On the last night of February, we were joined by a housey collective called
